Krisztina Scardelli started her dance training at the age of 14 in Hungary. Continuing her studies to become a history teacher and later having a job in investment banking she never lost her passion for dance and teaching. She tried different styles during the years including social dance, standard and latin dance, tap dancing, reggaeton, lindy-hop, theater, jazz, ballet. She received training from Árpad Pirovits, Gábor Janicsek and Richard Joerss in Hungary, and also participated in the regular student programs by Broadway Dance Center in New York. Her favorite dance was always Argentine Tango where she managed to find the elements she had been looking for: natural movement, sensitivity, sensuality, elegance, softness, connection and fluidity. After the Budapest years, she was trained by Jorge Torres between 2013-2016. Since the beginning of 2016 she has been trained by Michael Nadtochi and Eleonora Kalganova who have become her dearest mentors. She believes that in Argentine Tango there are more possibilities for a person than learning dance steps, if the dance is used as a good tool in a good way it can help a person to grow both in dance technique and in character. In her view dance has a power to heal, motivate and educate, with empathy and attention it has the potential to teach us something about the culture and society we live in and also about ourselves. She embraced the worldwide initiative by UNESCO to implement emotional intelligence training into education. She currently lives in Budapest, Hungary where she founded her companies Scardelli Tango and Scardelli Murano Elements.
